Julius Seligman, first born son of Adolf Seligman, a German-Jewish immigrant, began selling what became known as the "original American gourmet cup of coffee" at the Hoboken Shipyards in 1910. Since then the Seligman Family has become connoisseurs of the world's finest quality coffees. Under the direction of Richard Seligman, Seligmann's Gourmet Coffee remains steadfast to their original quality standards, producing the same consistent gourmet cup of coffee for over 109 years.
